Right of withdrawal

Consumers generally have a statutory right to withdraw from distance contracts within 14 days. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without stating a reason.

For goods, the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

If you withdraw effectively, payments received, including the costs of the cheapest standard delivery offered, will be refunded in accordance with the statutory provisions. For goods, the refund may be withheld until the goods have been returned or you have provided proof that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

The consumer bears the direct costs of returning the goods. You are liable for any loss in value only where that loss is due to handling that was not necessary to check the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Under the statutory provisions, the right of withdrawal does not apply in particular to non-prefabricated goods for whose manufacture an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the consumer's personal needs. Not every standard product printed only after an order is automatically a custom-made product.

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal may expire when performance of the contract begins if the statutory requirements are met. In particular, the consumer must expressly consent to performance beginning before the withdrawal period expires and confirm that they are aware that the right of withdrawal is lost when performance begins.

For contracts concluded online, the electronic withdrawal function required by law since June 2026 must be taken into account technically insofar as it is required for the relevant contract.
